Mondays and Wednesdays - 9am - 5pm

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Driver for our minibus, must have experience, a D1 licence and pass a DBS check. The role also includes being a Support Worker during the day.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a blend of practical skills and interpersonal abilities to provide effective support in various settings.

Duties

Driving our minibus, leaving at 9am to pick up our members from around Colchester, returning to Ferriers Barn for the day and then leaving at 3pm to do the return journey. You will have an escort with you at all times and full training will be given.

You will either need to have done your MIDAS training or agree to go on the days course.

Additionally:

Support our members in daily activities, arts and craft, wood work, pottery and other projects. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Adhering to all safeguarding policies and in house procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Valid D1 licence. A compassionate attitude towards helping others and promoting their independence is essential. Ability to work flexible hours as required by client needs.
