Job Description

- Vehicle Valeter / Driver1. Main Purpose of Job

To clean and prepare vehicles to a high standard. To carry out valeting of customer vehicles as required. To maintain vehicle preparation areas in a clean and tidy condition. To deliver and collect vehicles as instructed.
2. Responsibilities2.1 Equipment and Company Property

Responsible for company mobile phones, Bluetooth headsets, and satellite navigation equipment. Mobile phones must only be used for company business and are your responsibility once issued. Always use the supplied Bluetooth hands-free kit when driving. Satellite navigation equipment must remain on site overnight. Responsible for assigned vehicles and general duties. No smoking is permitted in any vehicle.
3. Objectives and Key Tasks3.1 Customer Satisfaction

Ensure all vehicles are prepared, cleaned, and delivered to the highest standard.
3.2 Cost Control

Maintain accurate records of materials and consumables used. Minimise wastage of materials and consumables. Take care of all company tools and equipment. Avoid causing accidental damage to vehicles or components while moving, cleaning, or preparing them. Complete and sign off QC sheets at the relevant stages.
4. Limits of Authority

Supervision and training of assigned cleaners as directed.
5. Main Job Functions

Clean and prepare vehicles as directed by Line Managers or authorised personnel. Wash and valet all vehicles as required. Deliver and collect vehicles on a regular basis, including from client premises and other locations. Maintain internal and external areas in a clean and tidy condition at all times. Report any damage, defects, or component deficiencies. Maintain courtesy cars in good condition. Report any irregularities within the vehicle cleaning area. Pass completed job packs to the front desk team following each valet. Carry out additional upgrade valets when required. Collect customer insurance excess fees as agreed with the insurance company and customer. Ensure correct information regarding cheques is obtained prior to final handover of a vehicle. Comply with COSHH requirements and adhere to all Health & Safety and Bodyshop standards.
6. Experience, Qualifications, and Training

Full driving licence is essential. Training in the use of solvents, abrasive cleaning materials, and cleaning equipment. Awareness of legislation governing the use of unregistered or untaxed vehicles on public highways. Ability to organise and direct cleaning staff when required. Previous experience in an accident repair facility or similar environment is desirable. Ability to work to deadlines.
