Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable DRIVER WAREHOUSE PERSON to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our collections while ensuring you are professional when picking up recycling.

This role requires repetitive lifting of bags books and other recycling materials of not more than 12 kg per bag, box or tub

this is a very physical job role.

Duties

Operate a van to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently. Manage the loading and unloading of products in the warehouse, ensuring that items are stored correctly. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. weighing materials muxt be accurate and done efficientley Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding collection schedules and any potential issues. Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the vehicle and warehouse. Adhere to all safety regulations while driving and working in the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. A valid commercial driving licence is required for operating larger vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with colleagues and customers effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
