Driver / Yard Person

Summary

As part of our growing business, Regal Aluminium, are looking to expand our production team by recruiting a driver / delivery person on a full time permanent basis.

With our manufacturing facility based in Pinxton (NG16) and sites over England and Wales we are looking for a confident driver as the role combines driving responsibilities with yard duties.

This means you may operate vehicles within a yard / factory, move materials by hand or with forklifts, or deliver goods to domestic, trade or commercial sites, while also handling yard-related tasks like stock intake.

Working hours of the factory are 42.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 06.30 to 16.00 Friday 06.300 - 13.00. Overtime may be available subject to the business needs.

Weekly pay on Friday's, dependant on experience exceeds national minimum wage.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver/Yardman:

Operating Vehicles:

This can include forklifts and pick up.

Material Handling:

Moving goods and materials within the yard or warehouse, ensuring they are stored correctly and safely.

Inventory Management:

Assisting with stock management tasks, including receiving, storing, and picking materials.

Delivery/Pickups:

Coordinating deliveries and pickups with other team members.

Yard Maintenance:

Keeping the yard area clean, organized, and safe.

Communication:

Communicating with fitting and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Driving Skills:

Full clean UK driving licence. Experience with operating various vehicles.

Forklift Certification:

A forklift license or certification would be an advantage.

Knowledge of Warehouse Operations:

Understanding of stock management, material handling, and safety protocols.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Physical Stamina:

This role can be physically demanding when moving materials.
