Due to continued growth, Langfield Welding Supplies are pleased to advertise a new vacancy for a Trade Counter / Yard & Warehouse Assistant to work within the welding supply industry.

The immediate and initial role is detailed below, but this role should be deemed as a starting point in what we hope, with training and support, will be a fantastic career for the successful candidate with us in the industry. There will be opportunities to increase knowledge and of course pay over the years, progressing into other roles such as internal sales, technical support, external sales, machinery specialist etc.

The role will involve working behind the trade counter and within the shop, dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone, as well as keeping the shop tidy and stocked up. You will also be required to support in the yard as and when needed, helping customers to collect orders and load them into their vehicles as well as general yard duties and occasionally delivery driving.

You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week from 7.30am-4.30pm Monday - Friday, This role will lead to a permanent position for the suitable candidate.

The ideal candidate must be computer literate, as the role will involve general administration duties using a PC. As you will also be working in the yard when needed, holding a Counterbalance Forklift Licence is advantageous but not completely necessary as training could be provided. Due to the nature of the role, manual work including heavy lifting will be part of this role, so candidates should expect this.
