Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented

Drone Pilot

to join our team. Your work will span multiple types of drone operations, including inspections, aerial surveying, and data capture. You will ensure drone operations are safe, compliant, and deliver precise, usable data for engineering and surveying clients.

Key Responsibilities

Operate drones for a variety of projects: topographical/land surveys, inspections (buildings, roof, heritage sites, wind/solar farms), photography/video. Conduct thorough pre-flight checks and perform basic maintenance of equipment. Capture high-resolution images, video, and survey / measurement data as required. Process/analyse collected data (e.g. for 3D modelling, volumetric/stockpile surveys, thermal/infrared, risk assessments) and produce reports or deliverables. Plan flight paths, coordinate with internal teams, ensure compliance with regulations and safety (including CAA rules, site-specific safety requirements). Maintain accurate records of flights, equipment condition, and project documentation. Stay up to date with drone technologies, regulations, and best practices.
Required / Preferred Experience & Skills

Proven experience as a drone pilot (inspections, surveying, or similar). Preferably

2+ years

of relevant experience. GVC (or equivalent) certification/licence highly desirable. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under deadlines. Ability to analyse drone-collected data and translate into actionable / technical reports. Good understanding of safety/regulatory requirements (CAA, site safety, permissions). Comfortable travelling approx 75% of time across UK sites. Good communication and teamwork skills.
