Guildford Rock School is seeking an experienced
instrumental teacher
specializing in
drums
to deliver engaging, high-quality rock and pop music lessons to young learners.
This is a freelance role, starting with a regular
2-3 hour weekly after school session on a Friday
, with scope to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver inspiring, student-focused music lessons in a fun and engaging way
Teach 30-45 minute lessons at our
Guildford studio (Silent Hill Studios)
and in
local primary schools
Use and adapt the
RSL Rockschool syllabus
to suit individual student needs and levels
Create a supportive, positive learning environment
Communicate with parents and students to support ongoing musical development
What We're Looking For
Teaching experience preferred (training and support available)
Strong practical skills in
contemporary rock and pop
styles
Familiarity with the
RSL Rockschool syllabus
is a bonus
Confident communicator who's enthusiastic about working with young people
Proactive, reliable, and organized
A music degree or equivalent experience is a plus
Multi-instrumental ability is welcome and is a big plus, but not essential
Driving license and own transport
required
DBS certificate
