We're looking for an experienced, passionate Drum Teacher to join our vibrant, fast-growing music academy. If you love inspiring students, have a dynamic teaching style, and thrive in a creative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Teach

one-to-one

and

small group lessons

across various contemporary styles (pop, musical theatre, jazz, R&B, etc.) Support students in

performances

(including our annual PMA Live concert),

exams

, and

auditions

Motivate and guide students of all ages and abilities Work with a

dedicated team

to create exciting opportunities for students, from recitals to workshops

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience teaching drums, ideally with knowledge of contemporary music styles A

passion for teaching

and helping students achieve their goals

Excellent communication

and interpersonal skills Available for

regular weekly hours

, including at least one evening per week

DBS checked

(or willingness to undergo the process)

Portsmouth Music Academy is the leading provider of music tuition in the South and plays an important role in supporting and developing local musicians through quality music tuition.

The Academy teaches people of all ages and abilities in one-to-one sessions and group courses from their fully-equipped centres in Cosham and Southsea. Instruments taught include guitar, piano, drums, vocals, bass and ukulele.

PMA also provides music teachers to primary and secondary schools, host live concerts, run ukulele workshops and jam nights as well as providing many other fun opportunities for aspiring musicians to play and socialise together.
