Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide personalised educational support to students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students to identify their learning needs and develop tailored lesson plans that cater to their individual strengths and weaknesses.

This would be to run a drumming/percussion afterschool club weekly (term time only) at a primary school based in Lancashire BB9

MONDAYS OR TUESDAYS 3:15PM - 4:15PM

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Develop customised lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address specific learning challenges. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals, particularly in cases involving special education needs.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and the ability to connect with young learners. Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable, enabling effective support for diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for clear interactions with students and parents alike. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student progress effectively.
