We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Drying Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for preparing a site (including stripping out the property) for; setup, monitoring, and completion of drying processes in residential and commercial properties affected by water damage. This role involves hands-on work and requires a valid driving license to operate company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Assessment:
Conduct thorough inspections of affected properties to assess the extent of water damage and develop appropriate drying plans.
Equipment Setup:
Install and operate drying equipment, such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and heaters, to ensure optimal drying conditions.
Monitoring:
Regularly monitor the drying process, record moisture levels, and adjust equipment as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for both team members and clients.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of drying procedures, equipment used, and progress reports for each job.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to explain the drying process, answer questions, and address any concerns.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on drying equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues to management.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate efforts and achieve project goals.
Requirements:
Experience:
Previous experience in drying, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Driving License:
A valid UK driving license is essential for operating company vehicles and traveling to job sites.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
Attention to Detail:
Strong observational skills to monitor drying progress and identify potential issues.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to assess situations and implement effective solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional 'stop-overs'.
