We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly and fabrication of components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding and welding.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fabricate metal components using hand tools and power tools Perform TIG welding and welding to create strong, durable joints Work with sheet metal to construct and modify parts as required Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications Utilise basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding and welding Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
