We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring and dedicated individuals with a passion for childcare to join our team at Duddingston Breakfast and After School Clubs .

We are looking for staff members who have experience working with children but most of all staff members who are willing to learn! This role provides the opportunity to gain SVQ3 qualification, Children and Young people whilst in the workplace.

Main Duties:

To assist with the provision of care and creative play opportunities in consultation with children and in accordance with Kidzcare principles and relevant childcare legislation. To ensure that the club's child protection policy is followed at all times To assist the management in ensuring that children's individual needs are recognised, and engaging them in establishing and maintaining boundaries for their behaviour. To assist with the handover/collection of children to other areas of the school. To support the management in ensuring that the club is a safe environment for all To prepare food and drink that promotes healthy eating, and complies with current food guidelines and food safety legislation. To assist with day-to-day administration and record keeping, including incident reports and risk assessments. To work as part of the staff team and to contribute to the promotion of the centre and Kidzcare. To participate in play work and other relevant training and development activities. To maintain constructive relationships and communicate with parents/carers, other professionals, and childcare/play-related agencies.

Breakfast Club:

7.5 hours per week Term Time only.

Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 9 am

After School Club:

Approx. 18/20 hours per week Term Time only.

Monday to Thursday 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm and Friday 11:45 am to 6:00 pm approximately.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must also be willing to register with the SSSC and meet registration conditions.
