We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties

Excavate and dig trenches for foundations, drainage systems, and other construction needs. Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively to assist in groundwork tasks. Prepare sites for construction by clearing debris and ensuring proper site access. Assist in the installation of utilities, including water, gas, and electrical lines. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or related construction roles is preferred. Ability to dig efficiently using hand tools or machinery. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for operating site vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A commitment to safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
