Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and the ability to communicate effectively. As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service while supervising staff and managing guest experiences.

The main location will be The Knockerdown Inn, Ashbourne, however, with having other sites in Derbyshire, there may be other opportunities to grow within our small independent group.

Duties

Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth running of the site alongside the general manager Lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence. Staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Handle guest complaints and feedback effectively, ensuring resolution to enhance overall satisfaction. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality. Stock Management, ordering and cashing up / opening up duties (key holder)

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in pubs and restaurants Strong background food and beverage sites Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer interaction. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
