We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic part-time Duty Manager (16 hours) to oversee the daily operations of our newly refurbished venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leisure and physical activity, with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest services. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests of all ages receive an exceptional experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth functioning across all five departments: reception, cafe, kitchen, obstacle arena and children's parties
Lead and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer experiences, fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Coordinate and work across all departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor staff performance and provide training as necessary to enhance skills and service quality.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and staff attendance.
Assist in human resources functions including inductions, department training, and performance evaluations.
Act as a keyholder, fire warden, first aider, and perform end of day banking responsibilities.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within sport, leisure or attractions industry is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for all ages, as well as actively promoting this ethos with your teams.
Ability to use initiative to manage your team effectively during peak and off-peak shifts.
Confident in upholding company policies and procedures, delivering consistency alongside your fellow Duty Managers.
Current training or prior experience as a First Aider, Fire Warden and Food Hygiene responsibilities would be advantageous.
Hours of work
Monday (4 hours, after 4pm)
Wednesday (4 hours, after 4pm)
Saturdays (8 hours, rotating between early, mid or late)
Optional additional hours are regularly available during weekends and school holidays, if desired.
