Lead a dynamic team across security and cleaning services whilst developing your management expertise in a thriving retail environment.
Hours: 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts
Location: The Arc, Bury St Edmunds
As the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the entire onsite team consisting of Cleaning and Security services, ensuring the highest of standards are adhered to at all times.
You must have:
A good understanding and able to demonstrate previous achievements in managing a large security and cleaning team.
A good understanding of the Retail environment.
A good understanding of Health and Safety with a preferred IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Must be fully PC literate for reporting.
Able to communicate at all levels, fostering a culture of inclusion and development.
Able to work to budgets and deadlines.
An ethos as a team player.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Oversee and where required allocate tasks and responsibilities to the on-site Management and team to meet customer expectations and ensure a consistently high service delivery.
To maintain those high standards by monitoring and auditing the work completed and working with the site manager for any changes for improvement.
Ensuring all COSHH documentation and cleaning requirements are compliant.
Recruit and coach the cleaning and security teams to achieve the contracted hours.
Effectively communicate daily with the Centre Management Team and tenants, colleagues to resolve issues and build positive working relationships.
Maintain budgets for use of all equipment, stock and on rota planning.
Check equipment is clean and safe to use.
Lead the teams to achieve expectations through from inductions, Health and safety training and on the job training.
Ensure all Company compliance and documentation is completed and maintained.
Drive performance in terms of standards and behaviours across the team.
Provide a safe environment for the general public and staff.
Accurately report sickness and ensure absence levels are managed correctly.
Other duties reasonably expected to deliver an effective and efficient service to the customer.
You must be able to:
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Maintain communication at all times with your colleagues using site specific communication methods.
Maintain and develop working relationships, with Westgrove partners, managers, colleagues, business manager, head office support.
Be responsible for H&S across the contract.
Have valid SIA and CCTV licences.
