Job Summary

Active Luton is a community wellbeing trust offering leisure and sport, health and wellbeing, community outreach, training and education and Luton's library services. We want to make sure everyone in Luton has the right access and opportunity to get active and improve wellbeing and quality of life.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Inspire: Luton Sports Village. As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our leisure centre, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility and delivering a high standard of service to all our users.

Essential Requirements:

Experience working in a leisure centre or similar environment. Hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a leisure setting. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work a flexible rota, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

:

Lead and supervise the operational team during your shift, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers. Take responsibility for the facility, including opening/closing, staff supervision, and emergency procedures. Ensure all activities run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with health and safety regulations. Respond effectively to incidents, customer feedback, and any operational issues. Support the wider team with administrative tasks and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.
