Were looking for a Software Engineer to support national security initiatives through the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of secure software systems. In this role, you'll work as part of a cross-functional technical team, solving complex challenges in high-trust environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain secure software solutions within national security frameworks Collaborate with DevOps, architecture, and infrastructure teams to deploy robust and scalable systems Work on-site (Cheltenham, Manchester or London) for secure project delivery, with flexibility for partial remote working Support pipeline deployment, infrastructure automation, and cloud-based solutions Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring junior engineers, and improving engineering standards

What You Need:

Current DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance Strong coding skills in one or more: Python, Java, Scala, C/C++, JavaScript, SQL Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with understanding of secure architecture Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with security tooling, Zero Trust Architecture, or cyber security concepts Knowledge of big data tools such as NiFi, Spark, or OpenSearch is a bonus
