The successful candidate will be proficient with a positive communication style via telephone, digitally and in person. They will also demonstrate an enthusiastic and inquisitive nature.

Our Care Navigators and Administrators support 24,500 patients in Winchester across two sites The Friarsgate Practice in Weeke and The Badger Farm Surgery of which you will be required to work at both.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete mandatory and in house Training
Adhere to practices policies and procedures
Preserve confidentiality for our patients and the practice
Encourage continuity of care
Complete all reception duties, welcoming patients, answering the phones and ensuring they are given the most appropriate service they require, dealing with general enquiries, booking appointments including appointments held at the extended hours service, actioning GP requests that arrive via task, adding blood requests from GP's, monitoring of emails, following health kiosk protocols, manage samples from patients, chaperone, setting up the patient check in screen, change of address requests, book urgent ambulances, home visit request, discuss referrals
Complete morning set up and evening duties of reception area
Process EMIS tasks
Process Document Management Tasks, letters and electronic filing
Be aware of Emergency / panic alarm and your responsibilities
Be aware of how to locate emergency equipment in the practice
Support patients with setting up and using the NHS App
Support our Prescription team and be able to request medication
Use the clinical systems Emis, Docman, Ice, team net, Microsoft teams,

Education:
GSCE English and Maths or equivalent
Experience:
Customer service 1 year (Required)
Previous NHS patient care (Desirable)
Administrative experience 1 year (Preferred)

Full Time 37.5 hours per week is desired
Part time can be discussed and would be considered
Compressed days optional.
