Job Summary
The Italian Assistant Chef supports the Head Chef and kitchen team in preparing authentic Italian dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency. This role involves food preparation, cooking assistance, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of traditional Italian cuisine (pasta, sauces, antipasti, risotto, pizza, desserts, etc.)
Prepare ingredients (chopping, marinating, portioning) according to recipes and chef instructions
Support the Head Chef during service to ensure timely and consistent food quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP)
Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and storage of ingredients
Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment
Assist in plating and presentation of dishes
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
