About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Early Careers Recruiter to join our growing team.
Base location is flexible with some travel required.
As an EC Recruiter within a respective business area, you will be accountable for delivering a first-class, EC resourcing service to the Balfour Beatty business and an excellent candidate experience. "Day in, day out, you will bring Balfour Beatty's ethos and culture to life to recruit exceptional and diverse EC talent. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the long-term trajectory of Balfour Beatty's ambitions.
What you'll be doing
Partner with respective business area to deliver end to end recruitment solutions and vacancy management through to offer and day one including all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle;
Requirements gathering
Requisition management
Advertising and attraction
Selection management including interview arrangements and feedback
Offer management
Handoff management and internal contracting/SLAs (HRSS/EC Dev)
Meeting the contractual obligations of the client
Support Head of HR and HR Business Partner/s to obtain business demand from hiring population by providing recruitment and market insight with regards to skills, locality, hard to fill roles and other appropriate roles related specifics to ensure realistic and credible requirements.
Work with Senior Recruiters and Employer Branding Lead to contribute to the deployment of targeted attraction methodologies to deliver strong talent pipelines in line with EC media schedule, specifically for hard to fill roles and improve diverse hiring: utilise new technology/social channels, help create innovative campaigns, develop specific localised engagement, and explore brand enhancement initiatives.
Drive and enable an effective and engaging recruitment journey for candidates through the provision of appropriate communication and engagement mechanisms: deploying a customer centric approach, ensuring candidates are Engaged, Equipped and Enabled for day one. Includes working in partnership with dependant teams to ensure seamless handoffs, operating within KPIs.
Continuous improvement of standardised processes, tools, and controls to manage resourcing activities to ensure best practice for managers and candidates alike. Work with Lead Recruiters, to review ways of working and ensure we are keeping abreast of system enhancements /updates.
Who we're looking for
Demonstratable experience of working within a fast paced and complex resourcing landscape with high volume and dynamic requirements, with a strong understanding and practical knowledge of the recruitment lifecycle.
Experience of operating within the EC space is advantageous: recruiting across Graduate, Apprentices and placements.
Experience of owning, maintaining, and developing stakeholder/Hiring/Line Manager relationships, including appropriate influencing skills - Assimilate and understand business processes and internal interactions.
Experience of using creative attraction techniques to deliver great talent pipeline strategies and keep warm methods.
Understanding of recruitment metrics, forecasting and commercial factors.
A good understanding of employment laws and regulations relevant to recruitment and selection.
A strong team player who works collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrates a willingness to 'get the job done'. Agile and dynamic in your approach with the willingness to pivot where the volume / priorities are.
Customer centric with the ability demonstrate emotional intelligence in relationships with others.
Resilient with ability to bounce back from setbacks.
