Tulloch Primary School, Perth



We are seeking a qualified and skilled Early Childhood Practitioner (ECP) with expertise in early childhood learning and development, to join our large and experienced team at Tulloch Primary.



You will work as a member of the team with young children to plan, deliver, observe and record learning. This will contribute to the delivery of an integrated approach to children's development within a safe and inclusive environment.



You will have responsibilities for the care and welfare of children, including those with additional support needs.



You will participate and contribute to continued professional learning.



It is anticipated that interviews for this post will be held at the school on the morning of Wednesday 5 November 2025, between 9am and 11am.

About the School and Nursery

Tulloch Primary School is situated in the Tulloch area of north west Perth. The school was established in 1969 and in February 2018 we moved from our original school building to our modern, newly built school. In our wonderful new school we continue to pride ourselves in being a welcoming, successful place where we work together. Our school values are Courage and Compassion and we continually strive to ensure that our children have the confidence to face new challenges. Tulloch Primary School has a large team of staff who are nurturing and committed to the success of our children. The current school roll is 380 made up of 14 classes and Intensive Support Provision classes. Our Nursery has the capacity to provide early learning and childcare for a maximum 66 children aged 2 to those not yet attending school.

Applications are invited from practitioners who genuinely enjoy working with young children and have the motivation and energy to provide engaging child centred creative learning experiences.



The successful candidate will be able to "think on their feet" and enjoy a varied role in order to support a happy, busy nursery putting children's needs first.



You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible early learning and childcare service, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families in the nursery and its surrounding community, within the context of authority and nursery policies and procedures.



The successful post holder will have a relevant qualification, SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 or equivalent or SVQ in Childcare and Education or SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People).



You must be able to register as a practitioner with SSSC, within 3 months of appointment and adhere to all elements of the SSSC Employee Codes of Practice and Perth and Kinross employee standards.
