Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at a restaurant in the city centre of York. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and janitorial services, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. This role is essential in providing a safe and pleasant environment for both staff and visitors.

The hours of work are from 8am -9.30am 6 days per week including weekends. on average you will be working at least 9 hours per week in this team. You will have a dedicated day off per week.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning in the restaurant area public facing, toilets and staff room. Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment to ensure effective sanitation. Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise. Maintain a positive attitude while working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting and bending. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques or processes related to cleaning.
