Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for fostering the development of children, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being while encouraging their learning through play and structured activities.

Duties

Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions. Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records. Support children in developing social skills through interaction and play. Lead by example, demonstrating positive behaviour and encouraging good manners among children. Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a well-organised nursery setting.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire both children and fellow staff members. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and parents. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
