Full-Time, Permanent Early Years Advisors

with a

focus on Inclusion




About the Role





As an Early Years Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting and challenging early years education and childcare providers across Wokingham, including private, voluntary, independent (PVI) settings and childminders. You'll help ensure high-quality, inclusive, and sufficient childcare places that meet statutory requirements and support the developmental needs of our youngest residents.



Your work will have a strategic impact as you collaborate with a wider Early Years Team, which includes:


A Senior Educational Psychologist An Early Years SENCo The Portage Team

You'll receive regular supervision from the Principal Educational Psychologist, alongside informal support from our experienced and friendly Early Years Advisors.


Key Responsibilities




Provide advice, support, and challenge to early years providers Support settings in achieving statutory requirements and delivering high-quality practice Champion inclusive practices Contribute to strategic development and policy implementation Design and deliver training to settings and represent Early Years at a local authority level Access CPD opportunities including the NSPCC Train the Trainer safeguarding course

What We're Looking For

Have in-depth knowledge and experience of delivering the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Are passionate about supporting quality early education Have excellent interpersonal skills to advise, train and support a wide range of providers Are excited to further their career within a Local Authority environment
