Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years ALNCO to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their development through play and structured activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children and supporting children with additional needs.

The role will be 30 hours a week over 5 days a week 9:00am until 3:30pm.

Duties



Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Plan to support each child's individual needs. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and any concerns. Manage daily routines, ensuring that children are engaged, supervised, and cared for at all times. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational programme and share best practices. Drive initiatives that promote children's well-being and learning outcomes. Attend and hold PCP meetings. Attend ALNCO network meetings and clinics.

Skills



Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A wealth of knowledge surrounding ALN processes and children's needs. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Leadership qualities to guide and inspire both children and team members. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the children and the setting.

Pay: 12.65-12.92 per hour
