Early Years Apprentice
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Early Years Apprentice to join our team at our warm and welcoming nursery and before and after school club based at Bridgtown Primary School in Cannock.
We will support you in gaining your Level 2 or 3 qualification, whilst working as part of a supportive and enthusiastic team where you will gain excellent experience and further training.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, to include contact time with the children and non-contact time to complete training.
The hours of work are 7.30am - 12.30pm, Monday - Friday, during term time and 8.45am - 3.15pm during school holidays, with an additional 5 hours per week for training.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
Observing the children at all times and assisting with and planning activities to meet learning and developmental needs throughout the day.
Being a key person and planning activities for these children's next steps.
Leading activities.
Maintaining the Health and Safety of the children at all times.
The successful applicant will be passionate and committed to working in childcare. You must be bubbly, self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: 7.55-12.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
