Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Apprentice to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working within a supportive and professional setting to gain a recognised qualification. The ideal candidate will possess strong task management and leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtimes to ensure their safety and well-being. Foster a positive environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support each child's individual needs. Manage daily routines including organisation of activities, meal times, and rest periods efficiently. Lead by example in demonstrating best practices in childcare management and early childhood education. Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all times within the nursery or childcare setting.

Qualifications

Desire to gain experience working with children in a nursery environment. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Willing to work towards a childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent recognised certification.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
