Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Early Years Trainee

to join our childcare team while working towards a

fully funded and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

. The successful candidate will support the learning, development, and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early years education, with full training, enrolment on a recognised Level 3 course, and ongoing mentoring provided. It is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, eager to learn, and committed to creating a safe and positive environment for young learners.

Duties



Support qualified staff in planning and delivering engaging activities appropriate to children aged 0-5 years Assist in supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and learning development through nurturing care Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised environment in line with health and safety requirements Observe children's play and development and contribute to records under the guidance of senior staff Support small group and individual activities to encourage learning through play and exploration Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the early years curriculum and daily routines Communicate positively with parents, carers, and team members under supervision Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times Assist with daily nursery routines including meal times, nap times, and transitions Support basic administrative tasks such as updating child records and daily reports on the Famly app.

Requirements



A genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their learning and development Willingness to enrol in and complete a fully funded, relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written A caring, patient, and positive attitude towards children's individual needs Basic understanding of child development or a desire to learn early years principles and frameworks Ability to work well as part of a team while also showing initiative when appropriate Organised, reliable, and able to manage daily tasks effectively Previous experience in a nursery, childcare, or early years setting is desirable but not essential
