Who we're looking for...



We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic early years assistant to join our team to support the effective care of our nursery setting. As an early years assistant, your role is crucial in providing and maintaining a safe, clean and hygienic environment for children, team members, families and visitors.

Key responsibilities



? To promote and display the Evergreen Way, maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times.

? To assess, monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for all children, the team, families and visitors.

? Where required support the team through the daily routines, including arrivals, snack and mealtimes and transitioning around the setting.

? To interact and engage with children and involve them in relevant tasks, associated with the role, that will interest and excite them.

? To support the early years practitioners to deliver exciting activities that promote our Evergreen curriculum.

? To develop positive relationships with children, the team and families.

? To undertake domestic tasks including food preparation, cleaning, laundry and resetting the environment.

? To work as part of an effective team, supporting others and asking for this in return when you need it.

? To communicate effectively with all members of the Evergreen team, children, families and other professionals.

? To attend team meetings and development days, and to share your ideas, points of view and to contribute to decision making.

? To adhere to the statutory and guidance requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) through direction from senior members of the team.

? To be fully invested in your own professional development, through taking part in internal and external training, peer observation, supervisions and appraisals.

Your skills and experience



While not essential, having previous experience in early childhood education, childcare, education or a related field is desirable.
