Friends Day Nursery, Saintfield are looking to recruit Early Years Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will have a passion and motivation to enhance and develop learning experiences for children in our nursery.We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals who have a genuine passion for caring for children. They need to have good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Duties:



Care for children aged from birth to 11 years old. Establish good relationships with children and interact with them according to their individual needs. Establish good relationships with parents and carers. Work closely with the room supervisors, organising activities and resources to encourage learning through play. Undertake observations to promote and monitor children's development. To be aware of, and comply with, the settings policies and procedures, as well as have a comprehensive understanding of the minimum standards that provides the framework for the care we provide. Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisors/Management.

Qualifications/Experience:



Desirable Criteria:

Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork Previous experience working in a childcare setting. Paediatric First Aid Child Protection Training
If you do not currently hold a minimium Level 2 in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork, you must be willing to be enrolled within the course. For eligble candidates it completion of the qulaification can be undertaken through a fully funded apprenticeship.

Due to minimium standard legislation, all canditates must be a minimium of 18 years old.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.35 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 45 per week
