Job Overview



We are seeking apassionate early childhood educator keen to shape the next generation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early years education with the ability to thrive in both hands-on and administrative responsibilities. You will play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of children in our care, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life. You will also enjoy supporting and developing members of staff to reach their full potential.

Duties



Support the planning and delivery of a stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Role-model outstanding practice across all age groups, promoting child-led, inclusive approaches. Lead and participate in observations, assessments, and planning to ensure each child's individual development and progress. Ensure children's safeguarding, welfare, and well-being are paramount at all times. Establish positive relationships with parents/carers, ensuring consistent and professional communication. Support staff supervision, mentoring, and performance management processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including attendance, safeguarding logs, and developmental progress. Ensure all policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are adhered to. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL if required, responding to and reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately.

Skills



Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years or Childcare. At least 2 years' experience working in an early years setting. Strong understanding of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and handle sensitive situations with discretion. A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 29,500.00-31,500.00 per year
