Our setting:
Our 48 place, child centred nursery is open to children from 0-5years. We have the very highest of expectations of our children. Our team consists of a robust management system that supports 18 wonderful Early Years Practitioners. The nursery benefits from extremely supportive parents who are very much part of the Little Stars family. We follow a curious approach to learning with four awe and wonder learning environments filled with natural and authentic resources. We have an excellent large outdoor provision with a forest school that provides children with a variety of risk taking and physical opportunities to build confidence and independence in the outdoors.
Our position:
We are looking for a
qualified
level 3 educator, to work 40 hours a week over 4 days, from 7.30 - 6pm, within our 0-2 year old room. Our salary meets minimum requirements.
Essentially, you will have good experience of working within a nursery setting and with children aged 0-2, have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and the ability to observe, plan and assess children's development. We require someone who has a flexible and adaptable approach to learning and willing to undertake appropriate training and attend evening meetings. This candidate must have a commitment to anti-discrimination practice, equal opportunities, safeguarding duties and maintain confidentiality.
Desirably, you will hold an enhanced DBS and be part of the update service, hold valid paediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates and have attended safeguarding level 1 training. You will have an understanding of the curiosity approach, in the moment planning and Famly. Training will be provided throughout the probationary 12 week period, if not.

Has an impressive nursery rhyme repertoire.
Has a love of the outdoors come rain or shine.
Is able to enhance children's play agendas, in the moment. (We don't do any forward planning here at Little Stars).
Is willing to sing out of tune in front a crowd.
Is able to have fun in the workplace, and expects laughter to be a large part of the day.
Is fun and creative and has imagination that takes children to the moon and back.
Is prepared to feel special and important to many little people and their families by having excellent partnership with parents and carers.
Above all you must be an excellent team player with effective communications skills, can show initiative in all situations and work in your Little Stars family to provide the best care and education around.
