Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our early years team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working within a supportive and professional setting. The position is suitable for individuals with a full and relevant level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 2-4 years. Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence. Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through personalised care and educational programmes. To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outings to ensure their safety at all times. Assist with organising educational resources and maintaining the cleanliness of the pre-school environment. Uphold safeguarding and health and safety policies in accordance with statutory requirements.

Skills

Previous experience working with children within a preschool or childcare setting. Willingness to learn and undertake further training. Knowledge of early childhood development and education. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities essential for working with young children. Organised with good time management skills.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and does require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24.5 per week

Work Location: In person
