Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Educator to join our team in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate will have a proven strong background in childcare and early childhood education, as well as a strong interest and/or qualification in outdoor learning or Forest School. You will need the ability to think outside the box and plan in-the-moment.

Duties:


- Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Drive continuous improvement in the nursery environment
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices in childcare

-Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development

Skills:


- Experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Drive to create a stimulating and engaging environment for children
- Proficient in English language
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or relevant field

- Qualification and/or strong interest in outdoor learning, Forest School or other alternative and progressive approaches to early child education

Join us in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for children to learn and grow.

You will have set hours each week, which will include 8am starts and 5pm finishes. The hours will be over 4 days each week, with Thursday as the day off. You will also need to be available to help with occasional holiday clubs, training, evening meetings and special events at weekends. The nursery is predominantly term-time, with several days of school holiday club through the year.

Experience in a Level 3 practitioner role is essential. We would love you to have additional training in Outdoor Learning and/or Forest School, or a very keen interest in pursuing this.
