This role involves nurturing and supporting the development of young children in a safe, stimulating, and caring environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with children, strong communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education. You'll be adaptable and a good team worker, working full-time across 4 days per week, with hours between 8am and 6.30pm. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged from birth to four years
Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual learning journey
Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are consistently upheld in accordance with regulatory requirements
Manage daily routines including meal times, playtimes, and rest periods
Supervise and guide junior staff or trainees as part of leadership responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education certifications are highly desirable
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Commitment to safeguarding children's wellbeing and adhering to all regulatory standards
