Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning and delivery of a stimulating and safe learning environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Work closely with children to support their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress and contribute to their learning journeys.
Assist in the daily routines of the setting including meal times, nappy changing, and tidying.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children in your care.
Work as part of a team to provide a high standard of care and education.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Follow all setting policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities.
Requirements:Essential:
A genuine passion for working with young children.
Willingness to undertake and complete the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn.
Able to work as part of a team and follow direction.
GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a childcare setting (voluntary or paid).
Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
