Job Purpose



As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. You will work in partnership with parents and colleagues to deliver high-quality education in line with the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

and uphold the values and vision of Smart Kids Nursery.

Key Responsibilities:



Childcare & Curriculum Delivery



Plan, deliver, and evaluate a creative and engaging curriculum following the EYFS framework Support children's individual learning and development, ensuring activities are age-appropriate and inclusive Observe, assess, and record children's progress and use this to inform planning Provide emotional and physical care to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development

Teamwork & Collaboration



Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and cohesive team environment Support the development and mentoring of junior staff or apprentices if applicable Attend staff meetings, training, and development sessions as required Contribute to the wider life of the nursery including events, celebrations, and parent partnerships

Safeguarding & Compliance



Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed to the highest standard Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including observations, assessments, and health/safety checks Support inspections and quality assurance processes (e.g. Ofsted visits) Adhere to all nursery policies, including health & safety, equal opportunities, and confidentiality

Person Specification



Essential:



Full and relevant

Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years

At least

1 year of post-qualification experience

in an early years setting Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development Excellent communication and teamwork skills A warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children

Desirable:



Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Training Experience working in a Good or Outstanding-rated setting Ambition to progress into leadership roles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
