This role is term-time only, following South Glos council term dates.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children in the early years
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child's developmental needs
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Collaborate with parents and families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the setting
Requirements:
- Qualified Level 3 (working towards Level 3) Early Years Educator
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
