Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and learning of children in our nursery setting. As an Early Years Educator room leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, fostering their growth, and supporting their individual needs. This role is full time at 4 or 4.5 days a week, our working hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm or 8:00am - 6:00pm.

Responsibilities

Manage and plan daily activities and routines within the room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning through play. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development. Drive initiatives that encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration among children. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education and providing guidance to less experienced staff members. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the nursery setting. Manage the team in your room, to work effectively and and together.

Skills

Experience working with children, preferably 2-3 year old's in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage diverse groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members. A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young minds.
