Job Description

We're looking for an Early Years Educator who loves teaching and who'd be interested in training up to be the third in charge at this mid-sized (32 place) setting in central Uckfield.

You'll work 35 to 40 hours a week (you choose) in a great team with a floor-based Manager who will support you while you learn our routines. We also offer CPD training to help you round-out your skill set.

We'd like you to have at least 2 years' experience so you can fully contribute to our planning cycle with your own ideas. You'll also need to be able to engage with our super-supportive parents - who are fully engaged with our educational approach.

We are open all-year-round. There is free car parking close by and we're on the main bus routes.

Responsibilities

To get to know the children and their families. (You'll develop a strong bond with children and parents and become an important part of their family life.)

To help the children learn new skills and independence.

To plan the children's activities. Our paperwork is kept to a minimum so you can spend time with the children.

Candidate requirements

Level 3 Childcare qualification or above.

Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

You'll need to be articulate and confident. You'll be a Key Person capable of developing a partnership with parents.

Forest School qualifications would be beneficial as would an interest in Montessori.
