Duties:
To care and educate babies 6 weeks to 18 monts, individual needs and form secure attachments. To be able to work as part of a team
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for early years children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, meet the needs for children with additional needs
- Monitor and assess children's progress and development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behaviour, and progress
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and understanding to meet the needs of each child
- Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences for young children especially babies
- Organizational skills to plan activities, manage time effectively, and maintain records
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
