We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, energetic and dedicated Level 3, Early Years Educator to join our close-knit team at Wollaston and Strixton Preschool. We are a village pre-school in Wollaston, Northamptonshire and also run the Sunrise and Sunset Breakfast and After school club. We are a small team of staff who all work together to share shifts across the two combined settings. We are a setting that loves the outdoors so candidates must love being outside and be prepared for all weathers to enjoy our new garden, adventure walks, community walks and our allotment!
The ideal candidate will:
Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development
Be able to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues to build positive relationships and support each child's learning journey.
Be able to work within in a small team with good teamwork qualities
Demonstrate a good understanding of the job role and key working
Demonstrate a positive attitude in all aspects of the role
have confidence to plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and children's next development steps.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain high standards of care and education within the setting.
Experience
A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children and parents and complete reports.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
