Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of care and education provided. Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement techniques. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials or participating in outings. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity among children and families.
