We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Educator, to work at our friendly and caring nursery, who can take on the following responsibilities:
The care and supervision of children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. Maintaining a respectful and caring attitude towards all children, their families and their individual needs.
The planning and preparation of activities, to meet children's individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery. This planning is to be of a standard suitable to be shared with families and Ofsted.
Promoting inclusion within the nursery, offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular, challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.
Have an awareness of safeguarding children, including knowledge of signs and symptoms of abuse and safeguarding children procedures.
Keeping of development records and observations as part of the Key worker role. Use of IT equipment to record and collate information regarding children's' progress.
To work at our all year round nursery, as part of a team maintaining a professional and respectful attitude towards colleagues and families. And to work closely with parents/carers informing them about the nursery and exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement.
