Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team, set in the heart of Pinner caring for children and babies from 6 months - 5 years. This role is full time 40 hours per week. Working hour shifts will be between the hours of 7.30am - 6.00pm, including 1 hr paid lunch break. Oak Lee Montessori School is accessible via public transport.

Role

Delivering high-quality early education and learning to children. Your role involves creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, working collaboratively with parents and other professionals to support each child's individual needs and development.

To be a key person to a group of children, maintaining children's records on their achievement, assessment and ensure that children of the group are making good progress and that their needs are met.

Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children. Supervise children during playtime, meals and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times. Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development, behaviour and daily routines.

Skills

Previous experience working with preschool aged children (essential) Strong knowledge of the Montessori framework (desirable) Strong knowledge of the EYFS (essential) Previous experience working within a Montessori environment (desirable) Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents and colleagues (essential) Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
