Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 years. The Early Years Educator will work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Duties



Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of individual children. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and well-being. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive approach to early years education. Manage daily routines, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Lead activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Support children in developing their independence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement.

Experience



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site activities or excursions. Experience in childcare settings that emphasise play-based learning approaches will be advantageous.
