Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in line with early years curriculum standards
Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime activities to ensure their safety and wellbeing
Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained
Organise daily routines, including arrival and departure procedures, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices through reflective practice and professional development
Skills
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee staff and organise activities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and professionally
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and creativity when working with young children
