Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our nurturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment that promotes the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development while fostering positive relationships with families.

Nanny McFiFi's is a small nursery where children and families are at the heart of everything that we do. We are looking for enthusiastic educators who want to make a difference to children and their early years education, who want to work in a small, supportive team.

The post would be for a candidate willing to work 35 hours per week with a work pattern of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (exact shift times to be confirmed but our days can start from 7:30am and finish at 6pm) We do request some flexibility in helping to cover shifts in the case of sickness or annual leave.

We will only consider applications for candidates with a full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above.

Responsibilities



Manage daily activities and routines within the nursery setting to ensure a smooth operation. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a collaborative environment. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to enhance their learning experiences. Drive initiatives that encourage children's exploration, creativity, and social skills through play-based learning. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment that meets health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery.

Skills



Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire both children and colleagues. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs. Knowledge of early years frameworks and best practices in nursery settings. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances within the nursery environment.
