Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care and education to children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding staff, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of practitioners, providing support and guidance to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies related to childcare.
Collaborate with other professionals to enhance the quality of care provided.
Participate in staff training and development initiatives to promote continuous improvement within the team.
Skills
Strong management and leadership abilities, with experience in guiding teams effectively.
Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site activities or visits.
